ANOTHER LETTER

By July 13, 2020 August 17th, 2020 Power

by Mercy Malonza

Another branded fault,

Untouchable mark in the midst of a falling nation,

Fall after fall; who will hear this unpleasant voice of our girls,

Turning them into a trash,

That can never be useful in building the woman’s power,

In the name of fake love,

Countless early pregnancies.

“Kids am traveling for a week seminar”

“Kids am traveling to see your uncle”

Usual parents chorus,

What about the girls?

Who will watch out them?

Who will check their school work?

Leaders of unrepearable lives,

Because of stupid freedom,

That doesn’t certain those young souls,

And what if power is onto them!

They be like Grusha Vashnadze and Simon shashava,

Those of the Caucasian chalk circle,

In the name of fake love,

Countless early pregnancies.

The beautiful girls are mothers,

Mothers of 13,14 and 15 years old,

Sighs of disappointments,

Among the actors is the age of my uncle,

Just to quench the flesh thirst,

To my young sister who is a candidate,

Just five minutes to curfew,

Unbearable pain,

Who will carry the innocent being,

Who’s father is nowhere to be found, even in the covid pandemic,

All in the name of fake love,

Countless early pregnancies..

Who will speak out for them?

And recollect the broken pieces into a collage,

Those heartless beings will decoy them again,

They might pamper them,

Then everything will be forgotten,

And like nothing happened,

Talk of the devil Kenya,

Home of monsters and angels,

Our beautiful girls,

All in the name of fake love,

Countless early pregnancies..

When will our girls awake?

Awake from the deep slumber,

We want our focused girls back to mind,

Like Resian of the blossoms of Savannah,

Kick out the monotony tale,

Keeping the keys of distancing and staying safe at home,

Like those of the covid 19,

To save themselves from the early pregnancies,

And make their dreams to pass,

What a retell!!……..
