ABOUT
This initiative is aimed at addressing obstacles that hamper women’s meaningful involvement and contribution to national politics and development in Kenya. The program aims to strengthen communication and media engagement skills and capacities among women leaders from varied backgrounds, creating linkages with local networks and individuals including national champions on gender equality and leadership for mentorship.
Inferiority position of women is a factor that symbolizes patriarchal nature of the society, therefore this misconception denies women to take up honoured and utilitarian roles such as leadership.
This intervention is focused on elevating women’s voices in Kenya’s public sphere as key players who can significantly influence and shape national thinking including opening space for meaningful participation of women in the 2022 general elections in Kinango, Kiambaa and Luanda Constituencies.
